ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Learn Distributed Scrum
Are you or your organization challenged by hybrid or globally distributed teams? No need to worry, our instructors are experts in distributed Scrum collaboration. Ernesto Custodio’s Ph.D. research on Distributed Agile Teams has shown that there are five major categories that impact teams in a hybrid or globally distributed team environment: Tools, Roles, Events, Artifacts, and facilitation Techniques. We have collected the most effective solutions, the TREAT, that high-performing teams use to overcome these challenges.
These techniques include Scrum of Scrum, Sprint Retrospective, Remote Refinement Techniques, and more. We look forward to supplementing your certification with Distributed Team challenges and proven solutions. In addition to your Registered Scrum@Scale Credential, our students will also learn the principles for effective collaboration in distributed Scrum environments. This is an interactive class with lectures, exercises, demonstrations, facilitated discussions, and games to illustrate the principles being taught and to maximize your understanding. Students will interact using the same tools and skills necessary for effective distributed Scrum collaboration.
These include:
- Maximizing the use of online conferencing platforms to improve collaboration
- Online estimating using various mediums
- Using digital Agile project management platforms
- Collaborating with online communication platforms
- Group planning using digital whiteboards
- Techniques for remote team member engagement
What is different about Scrum@Scale as opposed to other frameworks?
Scrum@Scale was created by the inventor of Scrum, Dr. Jeff Sutherland to be the most effective way to scale Scrum throughout the organization. The Scrum@Scale® course teaches the responsibilities of the Product Owner, individual Scrum teams, and enterprise leadership in a variety of large-scale contexts.
Would I receive a certification for taking the Scrum@Scale class?
Yes, upon completion of this course and the official Scrum@Scale exam, Scrum Inc. will provide a Certified Scrum@Scale™ Practitioner certificate signed by the creator of Scrum. Scrum@Scale is the scaling framework created by the inventor of Scrum, Jeff Sutherland. From Fortune 100 companies to start-ups, Scrum@Scale® transforms organizations into Agile enterprises. Scrum@Scale naturally extends the core Scrum framework to deliver hyper-productive results across industries and disciplines. This includes software, hardware, services, operations, and R&D.
