Q of the Week: How often should the Scrum of Scrums Team meet?

Updated: Jan 15, 2021

In Scrum@Scale, the Scrum of Scrums is a team that meets daily during the Scaled Daily Scrum event. The Scaled Daily Scrum is a scaled version of the Daily Scrum, sometimes referred to as the Standup, and should be attended by at least one representative of the individual teams that make up the Scrum of Scrum Team. In this 15-minute meeting, the teams coordinate their work for the next 24 hours and discuss any impediments that could not be resolved by the individual teams. Teams that meet less frequently tend to struggle with interdependencies and impediments that can not be removed by the individual Scrum teams. Therefore, it is important for each team to be represented in the Scaled Daily Scrum event as active participants of the Scrum of Scrums network.
